News:
09-25-09:  Unfortunately it will be necessary for everyone to rejoin after the radical revamp of the rules.  The first ten characters will be assigned to either the North or the South immediately to get things moving.

If everyone could also take a look at the rules, many changes have been put into effect, including the removal of the three goals system! A new way of levelling has been put in place.

Also- a new board has been put up under Release; the Picture and Html Request Board!  Now you can order some snazzy pics and html if you're so inclined =D


 Old News:
 09-24-09:  Illyria is being temporarily closed down in order for some things to be worked out, both with the game and with my life at the moment.  Thankyou everyone who joined and don't forget to check back every now and then to see if we've reopened.  The closure should only last a few days, at most a week. - Sabella

09-18-09:  Illyria is undergoing a makeover today so if there are any inconsistencies in layout, etc. don't worry, I know about it and it's being fixed. =D 
On another note: activity is disappointingly low.  C'mon, guys!  Post away, make friends, make enemies, something!  I'm not to the point of doing an activity check yet but, man, it's getting close.  Don't make me do a headcount.  I understand real life gets overwhelming sometimes, just let us know if you're going to be a bit low on the posting scale, 'kay?
09-13-09:  I've decided to keep Monnox and Alecto for the time being, so... yeah! XD  Both kingdoms now have their first Diplomats, now we need warriors and thieves!
 Also, a new page has been put up under Rise- it's the Extra Information page.  It has, well... extra information about the game and the way characters might react to certain situations.  I'll add more to the page as things evolve.

09-09-09: Auditions for Monnox and Alecto will be opening very soon.  I never intended to play the leaders for long, just long enough to get things set up, and now that everything is moving along well I think it's time.  For more information about the Leader's duties see the Audition Board which is located under Rise. - Sabella

09-08-09: A new place has opened - The Glade, a place for the two kingdoms to socialise.  Can be found under Animate.  Diplomatic ranks have been added to the kingdoms- let me know what you think about them on the OOC board.  Also I want to officially thank all of the members who have been helping out with ideas and smoothing out the kinks in the game so far - you guys rock!- Sabella

WELCOME.

Illyria is, predictably, an old land with a great and intricate past; however you are not here to be bored by a lecture on the history of the land.  No, you are its future, the blood that thrums through its earthen veins.  A small snippet of the most recent history can, however, be found below:


The Northern Kingdom and the Southern Kingdom have always been at war; the reason for this ancient dispute is lost to the winds of time and will likely never be recovered.  The reality is, though, that there is an intense feeling of dislike between the two kingdoms, one which seems to rise from the very earth itself.  An old enmity that will not be overcome.

A mere handful of years ago there was a great war between the two Kingdoms and most of the inhabitants were slaughtered in the bloody battle.  These lands have since lain abandoned and in ruins, with stragglers drifting from place to place, aimless and forlorn.  Skeletons litter the grounds of the Warrior's Valley, large and small, old and young.  They were driven to fight by a nameless thing that seeped from the pores of the earth, hungry and malevolent. 

It has slept for years now, quiet and sated beneath the surface of the world.  But now something is rising;  I power in the North and the South.  Two new leaders, driven to take their kingdoms to new and greater heights than ever before.  This peace cannot last forever and someday soon a new war will erupt and a new generation of warriors will give their lives to the nameless that lurks beneath.
